This RYA 2 day course which covers both practical and theoretical modules is aimed at anyone wanting to improve their seamanship and boat handling skills with Powerboats. The course will also provide the background knowledge and proficiency required to safely operate a small powerboat in coastal waters.
The course is held in Malta and can be an add on to our other courses currently held in Malta such as the STCW95 Basic Safety and the Counter Piracy courses
Upon successful completion of the Powerboat Level 2 course the certification will be endorsed for coastal use not just inland water ways. Successful completion will also offer the opportunity to apply to the RYA for an ICC (International Certificate of Competence).
The units covered will be:-
- Launching and Recovery
- Boat handling
- Securing to a buoy
- Anchoring
- Leaving and coming alongside
- Man overboard
No previous experience is required, a minimum of 3 people are required for each course.
